Midweek storms bring heavy rain to Metro Detroit before weekend sunshine

DETROIT – This will be the warmest day of the week with highs in the upper 70s.

Looking at another round of showers and thunderstorms today, especially mid-afternoon into the evening hours. Gusty winds and locally heavy downpours will be possible.

A seasonal end to the work week as we expect high temperatures in the low to mid-70s through Friday. Shower and storm chances increase Wednesday afternoon and last through Thursday.

Drier weather builds in on Friday and we hold on to sunshine and seventies just in time for the weekend.
