After a little bit of cloud cover and a little bit of sunshine with continued Coleton temperatures through the end of the week on Friday, we’ve got some snow showers moving into the region to start the weekend on Saturday.
Our cold front moved through the region overnight last night into early this morning, which is keeping the snow showers in the forecast through part of the morning hours on Saturday. We’ve had our daytime high into the upper 20s early on Saturday morning, and temperatures will fall throughout the entire day, dropping into the teens by the time we get to the late afternoon and early evening hours on Saturday.
As we watch a disturbance roll through the Ohio Valley this afternoon and into this evening, we will bring a chance of snow showers back into the forecast for some of us, especially along in south of I-94 late Saturday afternoon and into early Saturday evening. Most places could see a coating of snow throughout the day on Saturday.
Overnight low temperatures Saturday night and into Sunday morning and into next Monday morning will drop into the single digits, which means we could see wind chill temperatures at or below zero both mornings. Some places could see wind chills as low as -10° to -15°.
We do break into some sunshine by the end of the weekend on Sunday, but the clouds increase as we look ahead to the start of next week on Monday and Tuesday. Mostly cloudy skies are expected both days, and we start to warm up a bit. High temperatures warming into the mid-20s on Monday, heading into the upper 20s to lower 30s by Tuesday.
That warming trend continues, looking ahead into the middle of next week on Wednesday. But we will bring in the chance of rain showers by Wednesday afternoon and evening. High temperatures continue to warm up, heading into the mid to upper 30s by Wednesday afternoon.
The rain showers will stick around the forecast looking ahead into Thursday. The warming trend in the forecast will continue into the middle of the week as well. High temperatures will soar into the lower 40s by Thursday afternoon.
Once that frontal boundary moves through late Thursday and into Friday morning, expect colder changes to move into the region by the end of next week. High temperatures heading into the lower 30s by Friday afternoon.
