4Warn Weather – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Lenawee and Monroe counties until 9 p.m. A Flood Watch remains in effect for all of Metro Detroit until 2 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2026.
A severe storm moved through Monroe County earlier Wednesday afternoon, prompting a warning for 60mph winds and quarter-sized hail.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue through 9 p.m. with the highest risk for severe weather closer to the Ohio border.
Thursday
A brief break in the action before more storms return overnight. Flooded roads could slow down your morning commute on Thursday.
More rain is expected on Thursday, with a marginal risk of severe weather in some areas.
But the biggest concern will be flooding if heavy rain continues to fall on our already saturated ground.
Friday/Saturday
Friday brings sunshine and highs in the upper 60s before more heavy rain returns Saturday.
