After plenty of sunshine working throughout our Thursday, we will keep the dry weather out of the forecast, looking ahead into the evening and overnight hours tonight. Expect comfortable temperatures to stick around into the overnight as well. Overnight lows dropping into the upper 50s by early on Friday morning.
With high-pressure firmly and control the forecast, that keeps the sunshine into the forecast through the end of the week and start of the weekend. But we are looking at a gradual warming trend looking ahead into the upcoming weekend as well. Mostly sunny skies can be expected for both Friday and Saturday. High temperatures warming into the lower 80s on Friday, then warming into the middle 80s by the time we get to Saturday.
We will continue with sunshine, looking ahead into the end of the weekend on Sunday, but we do start to look ahead to our next chance of rain showers moving into the region by Sunday night. High temperatures warming into the upper 80s to near 90° by Sunday afternoon.
Thunderstorm thunderstorms, returned to the forecast, looking ahead into the start of next week on Monday. The Storm Prediction Center has placed portions of the region and a risk for severe thunderstorms on Monday as we watch an area of low pressure work through the state. As of right now, damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall would be the primary threats, but we will continue to fine tune that forecast as we look ahead into the weekend.
Once that system moves off to the east, we will keep the chance of a few rain showers into the forecast on Tuesday, but I do not think the day will be a washout. High temperatures warming into the middle 80s by Tuesday afternoon, then expect more sunshine by the middle of next week on Wednesday. High temperatures warming into the lower 80s by Wednesday afternoon.
