4Warn Weather – A stalled front remains in place near the southern state border. While this keeps the better chance for rain and storms to the south of us, we’ll continue to have the possibility of seeing some rain and thunderstorms for the next couple of days.
A few storms both today and tomorrow may be strong.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Marginal Risk (green, level 1/5) for severe weather for our southern communities, and a Slight Risk (yellow, level 2/5) for southwestern Lenawee County for today.
The main time frame will be between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. with damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rain the main storm hazards.
We’ll have the same storm threats tomorrow with our northern areas under a Marginal Risk.
Wednesday afternoon will be the best time for storms to develop.
Much of the day both today and tomorrow will be dry and we’ll see some hazy sunshine. Smoke from wildfires out west will remain over the Great Lakes region, giving us some vivid sunrises and sunsets.
Temperatures today will reach the low to mid 80s with a southwest breeze.
Winds turn light tonight as we fall to the mid 60s. With some breaks in the cloud cover, you may catch some meteors! The Perseid Meteor shower peaks tomorrow and Thursday.
Highs Wednesday and Thursday will be in the low 80s before dropping to around 80° Friday and Saturday.
