Local 4′s Karen Drew goes one-on-one with Detroit Police Chief James White, looking for solutions.
Karen also talks to a local mother, Earlene Griffin, who lost her 19-year-old daughter, Nataja Boleware.
Earlene: “My other son, my sons, my sister, we’re no longer the same.”
More teen are getting shot than ever before.
Chief White: " Three homicide victims in 2023 are between the ages of 13 and 17.”
Karen Drew: “This is beyond a police department. This is a culture that needs to change.”
