Ellen gifts new house to Highland Park woman for her dedication to community Shu Harris' work on Avalon Street gets national recognition
A Highland Park woman is in the national spotlight this week.
What Shu Harris was doing on her street caught Ellen's attention, so the show host decided to fly her out to Los Angeles. She flew out to talk to Ellen about all the good things she is doing in Avalon Village.

Ellen gave her a house! Harris was congratulated during Wednesday's show, then Ellen surprised her with a new house valued at $100,000!
