CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 42-year-old Canton woman was hospitalized after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway.
The crash occurred on Thursday (Sept. 24) at about 7:14 p.m. near Warren Road and Burgundy Street, according to the Canton Police Department.
Police said a 33-year-old Ann Arbor woman was driving a 2013 red Hyundai Elantra west on Warren Road when the vehicle struck the pedestrian as she crossed the roadway.
Officials said the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Police did not release information about her condition.
The Canton Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and is investigating the crash.
Police said alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been factors in the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
