Estranged husband in custody for Novi double shooting

NOVI, Mich. – Filip Pjetruski was arraigned in the 52-1 District Court in Novi today for allegedly shooting his estranged wife and a 35-year-old Novi man Thursday evening. 

Pjetruski faces two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, three counts of Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and one count of first degree Home Invasion. The first charge is punishable by up to life in prison.

July 17, police responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting in the 22900 block of Summer House Court in the Pavilion Court Apartment complex, near the intersection of Nine Mile and Haggerty Roads.

Officers found a 41-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds. She stated that her husband was the one who shot her. He was taken into custody at the scene.

The woman is expected to make a full recovery from her injuries and the male victim has been released from the hospital.

Pjetruski's next court date is scheduled for July 23. He is being held on $2,000,000 cash, surety bond and will be transported to the Oakland County Jail this evening.
