Big Sean presented keys to Detroit

Rapper kicks off Mogul Prep Experiential tour

Rapper Big Sean was presented the keys to Detroit by Mayor Mike Duggan Saturday when he kicked off his Mogul Prep Experiential tour in his hometown.

Duggan honored Big Sean for encouraging students to stay in school and pursue a higher education.

Mogul Prep is a learning platform that creates an immersive experience for middle and high school students. The initiative uses careers in the entertainment industry as a gateway for exploration of other career pathways.

It was developed by the Sean Anderson Foundation. The foundation, which was formed by Big Sean and his mother Myra Anderson, to focus on improving the lives of youth.

Students and teachers from Cass Tech, the Detroit School of Arts, Spain Middle School, North Farmington High School and Burton International attended the event put on by Big Sean and his mother, a former teacher, at the Madison Building. Quicken Loans sponsored the event.
