Spartans kick off 2019 season in East Lansing 🏈
The Michigan State Spartans will host Tulsa on Friday night at Spartan Stadium. MSU is ranked No. 18 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll. Check out their full schedule here.
The Detroit Pistons will host a Fitness Bootcamp at Detroit's Eastern Market, inside Shed 5. The event is the final activity in the organization's Pistons Fit Summer Series. The class will be led by Planet Fitness trainers, Pistons Dancers and Pistons Extreme Team members.
Hurricane Dorian is strengthening as it moves toward the U.S. Southeast coast. The National Hurricane Center says the storm could grow into a dangerous Category 4 storm by Labor Day as it pushes northwest in the general direction of Florida. Track the latest information here.

Frankenstein Day is on August 30. This day is in honor of author Mary Wollenstone Shelley who was born on August 30,1 797. She wrote the book "Frankenstein" in 1818. This day in honor of her birth.
