When the SUV got to Schoolcraft, it was involved in a crash with a van heading west, officials said. One of the vehicles ran a red light, but it’s not clear which, according to police.

All three officers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, authorities said. They’re all expected to be OK, but the officer who was in the back seat might have broken his leg, officials said.

A man in his late 30s inside the van was also taken to a hospital, according to authorities. He is also expected to be OK.
