DETROIT – Police are searching for a man wanted in a deadly carjacking at a Detroit liquor store. According to the Detroit Police Department, Tracie Golden was shot in the 19300 block of Grand River Avenue at 10:42 p.m. on Dec. 28. Police say he produced a handgun and shot her in the chest area. “I am truly saddened by the senseless murder of Mrs. Golden,” Detroit Police Chief James White said in a statement. DETROIT – Officers with the Detroit Police Department are about to get a major pay increase after the city council approved a new collective bargaining agreement, WXYZ Detroit reports. The raises are intended to make the department competitive with surrounding suburban police forces, helping Detroit attract and retain officers, the report said. For officers with at least four years of experience, pay will go from $60,000 to $73,000. That was after 72 officers left for positions at other police departments during August and September, the report said. “Our officers, as we know, work harder than any other officers in this country, or at least as hard,” DPD Chief James White said.

When police were able to locate the man inside the apartment, he would not cooperate with officers. Police attempted to subdue the man with a stun gun, however it was not effective and the knife-wielding man continued to resist the officers. Chief James White said the incident is still being reviewed and it is unclear how many officers shot the man.

Not all content on OnlyFans is pornographic, however it appears the account belonging to the officer in question featured pornographic images, a police administrator told the TV station. Members of the department discovered the page through a link the officer provided on her Instagram account which led to her OnlyFans account. That account was behind a paywall, but once people paid for the service, they had access to the alleged pornographic images.

DETROIT – Two malnourished horses found abandoned in a Detroit alley are now in the care of the Michigan Humane Society. The Detroit Police Department’s mounted unit initially rescued the horses near Michigan Avenue and Tillman Street on Tuesday. In September 2021, Detroit City Council member Andre Spivey pleaded guilty to accepting bribes related to oversight of towing policy; he later resigned.
