Monroe business targeted with bomb threat, rock through window, firebombing, police say

$26,000 reward offered for information that leads to arrest

MONROE, Mich. – A Monroe business received a bomb threat, had a rock thrown through its window and was ultimately firebombed over the course of eight days, police said.

Hassett Title Company on East Front Street near Washington Street in Monroe received a bomb threat March 14, according to authorities.

Then, on March 22, someone threw a rock through the window and set the front office area on fire, police said. The firebombing caused extensive damage, officials said.

Monroe police are asking for the public’s help identifying the person in the video below. He can be seen walking up to the business and then walking away. His vehicle is also shown at the end of the video, police said.

Crime Stoppers and the business are partnering to offer a $26,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
