Part-time seasonal drivers are expected to be scheduled to work three days each week, in addition to being on call throughout the winter for “additional day, night and weekend work as needed,” officials said.

“Part-time seasonal drivers have been a very efficient and cost-effective way to provide the level of service during the winter that Oakland County residents deserve,” said Dennis Kolar, managing director. “This enables us to provide a higher level of service during the winter months than we otherwise could.”

Those hired will be required to pass a driving assessment, background check, review of driving history, physical exam and drug screening.
