Over the past few years, the city focused on improving parking, pedestrian safety, Kellogg Park and supporting businesses. For 2024, the city plans to focus on the Old Village area, repaving streets, continuing to improve pedestrian safety, upgrading the water system and more.

The Old Village has two restaurants that are being renovated. The former Honey Hole was purchased by a local family who is working on it, and the former Station 885 was bought by a local entrepreneur, who is renovating it to house a high-end restaurant.

The Old Village is not new to rehabilitation. The area has a new business that opened in a condemned building that was purchased and rebuilt using funds from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

The city will spend $1,000,000 on upgrading its railroad crossings.

Updates on the plan are given at Plymouth Downtown Development Authority meetings, which are held on the second Monday of each month at Plymouth City Hall.
