CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are investigating a crash in Canton Township that left a man dead.
The crash happened around 9:22 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the area of Ford and Lilley roads in Canton Township
Police said a 23-year-old Ypsilanti man was driving a black Chevy Malibu west on Ford Road when he struck a 55-year-old Canton Township man who was walking across the road.
The 55-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Police said alcohol does not appear to have been a factor. The Canton Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team is investigating.
