MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A 48-year-old man from Warren is facing multiple felonies in connection with a Feb. 23 hit-and-run that critically injured a man.
According to authorities, Tony Prather drove the victim to a bar in Warren and after he dropped the victim off, Prather reportedly hit him with his truck and left him in the road. The victim was critically injured but is expected to survive.

Prather allegedly left the state but has since been extradited back to Michigan.
Prather was charged Thursday, April 11, with assault with intent to murder, failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in serious impairment or death and operating a vehicle while license suspended causing serious injury. He was charged as a habitual fourth offender.
Prather’s bond was set at $350,000 cash/surety, no 10%. If released, he is required to wear a steel cuff GPS tether, have no contact with the victim and not leave the state of Michigan.
He is expected to return for a probable cause hearing May 16.
If convicted, Prather faces the possibility of life in prison.
