Court documents have revealed new details about the foiled alleged terror plot in Metro Detroit.

Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud have been charged and are accused of targeting LGBTQ+ bars and clubs in Ferndale, according to the court documents.

On Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, federal agents raided homes in Dearborn and a storage facility in Inkster.

During that raid, agents found the following:

  • Three AR-15 rifles
  • Two shotguns
  • Four handguns
  • 1,600+ rounds of ammunition
  • Tactical vests, body armor and chest rigs
  • GoPro cameras
  • 24 empty AR-style magazines

The suspect allegedly sought approval from ISIS and wanted the attack to mimic the 2015 Paris shootings and bombings.
