OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A man accused of groping a woman and spraying lotion on another woman in Oakland County pleaded no contest to both cases.

Ian Matthew Johnson allegedly groped a woman on the Clinton River Trail in Auburn Hills in June. Two weeks later, he allegedly sprayed lotion on a woman at a Troy gas station because he found her attractive.

After an investigation into the case in Auburn Hills, police arrested him about a month later and charged him with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

During questioning about that case, Johnson reportedly admitted to spraying lotion on the woman in Troy for self-satisfaction, leading to a second fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge.

On Dec. 11, 2025, Johnson pleaded no contest to both fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charges in the two separate cases. He is expected to be sentenced on Jan. 22, 2026.
