A woman from Harper Woods is spending more than 17 years behind bars for distributing fentanyl that led to the deaths of three people in 2023.
According to authorities, Aerian Porter-Craig sold and delivered drugs to three individuals at two homes in Grosse Pointe Woods on June 9, 2023. All three victims died within minutes of ingesting the substance.

A medical examiner found fentanyl in all three victims’ systems and ruled that their deaths would not have occurred without taking the drugs. A white powder found in one of the homes tested positive for fentanyl, cocaine, and xylazine -- an animal tranquilizer.
Porter-Craig reportedly distributed the drugs knowing they contained fentanyl.
Text messages revealed that the victims believed they were buying cocaine.
Porter-Craig was arrested more than a year later, in September 2024. According to an affidavit filed Aug. 22, 2025, she pleaded guilty to two counts of distribution of fentanyl and cocaine.
On April 30, Porter-Craig was sentenced to 210 months, or 17.5 years, in federal prison.
