Police searching for suspect after 2 victims shot near Ypsilanti

An 18-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were both shot Thursday night during an incident in Ypsilanti Township.

Deputies arrived at the scene in the 1600 block of Holmes Road around 8:49 p.m. to find the 18-year-old in critical condition. The teen was transported to a local hospital by first responders. The second victim transported himself to a hospital outside of Washtenaw County, where he remains in serious but stable condition, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say the shooting does not appear to be random and the suspect remains at large.
