A woman accused of fleeing from police in a stolen U-Haul truck last week before crashing it in the middle of a Macomb County intersection is facing multiple charges related to the incident.

Jennifer Roe, 47, of Clinton Township, was arraigned Monday on one count of fleeing - third degree, and one count of receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle — both five-year felonies — as well as a misdemeanor charge for reckless driving.

Police received reports of the stolen U-Haul the morning of May 28, and began pursuing the vehicle after it was detected by a Flock camera in Clinton Township. The driver sped off when officers attempted a traffic stop, and police said they pursued the vehicle until it entered Mount Clemens.

After running a red light in Macomb Township, the U-Haul driver was struck by another vehicle, causing it to roll over. Emergency personnel had to cut the windshield out of the vehicle to extricate the driver, though no injuries were reported.

Roe’s bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety, no 10%, with a GPS tether required upon release. Her probable cause conference has been set for 8:30 a.m. June 9 at the 41B District Court in Clinton Township.
