WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – All southbound lanes of Southfield Freeway are closed due to flooding in Wayne County.
The Michigan Department of Transportation reported water over the roadway on southbound M-39 just after Warren Avenue West on Friday (July 3).

Officials warned motorists not to drive through standing water, noting that flooding can create hazardous conditions and lead to vehicle damage or crashes.
No information was immediately available on when the roadway would reopen.
Drivers were urged to seek alternate routes and use caution in the area.
