DETROIT – A child riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle on Detroit’s east side.
The incident occurred on Monday (Sept. 28) on Outer Drive and Whittier Avenue.

Police said officers arrived and made contact with the child and others at the scene.
Medics transported the victim to a Metro Detroit hospital for treatment.
Police said the child was listed in stable condition.
The investigation is preliminary, and police said they may release additional information as the investigation continues.
