In a memo sent to cabin crew, India's national air carrier told staff it would be launching a new menu for in-flight crew, providing staff with a "low fat diet meal". "Taking into consideration the health factor of crew, an initiative has been taken by Director Operations to revise the In-flight menu for the crew," the memo, sent to CNN by an Air India spokesperson, read. The new menu is also cost effective," Dhananjay Kumar, spokesperson for Air India, said in a statement to CNN. This isn't the first time Air India has waded in on the weight debate.

The country's meteorological office (AEMET) has issued an "extreme risk" weather warning for Valencia, Alicante, Murcia, Almeria and the Balearic Islands. "These adverse weather conditions affect the airports of Almera, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat and Palma de Mallorca. There is a further "risk of loss of life," as well as "damage to property and infrastructure," a spokeswoman for Britain's Met Office weather service told CNN. Britain's Foreign & Commonwealth Office advised those traveling to the regions to "exercise extreme caution and follow the advice of the local authorities."

(CNN) - A spacecraft carrying Russia's humanoid robot failed to dock with the International Space Station on Saturday morning, Russian state news agencies reported. Fedor, also known as Skybot F-850, is a life-sized, artificially intelligent robot sent to space by Russia. Live broadcast of the docking on the Russian space agency Roskomos was interrupted with the Soyuz spacecraft about 100 meters (109 yards) off the ISS, news agency AFP reported. "Russian cosmonauts issued a command to abort the automated approach of an uncrewed Russian Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station after the craft was unable to lock onto its target at the station's space-facing Poisk module," NASA confirmed. The crew and the ISS are safe," said Russia's space agency Roskosmos in a tweet.

"USS Green Bay (LPD 20) conducted a routine Taiwan Strait transit Aug. 23 (local time) in accordance with international law," Cdr. The USS Green Bay, an amphibious transport dock ship, was scheduled to visit Hong Kong on August 17. "The ship's transit through the Taiwan Strait demonstrates the U.S. commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific. The US routinely sails through the Taiwan Strait, last doing so in July, but Chinese military forces view the strategic waterway separating China from Taiwan as a priority area and often shadow US vessels that sail through the area.

The 29-year-old waiter was killed in Noisy-le-Grand, around nine miles from the center of Paris, on Friday night, the prosecutor's office in neighboring Bobigny told CNN. Witnesses say the man was angry about the length of time taken to prepare his sandwich, the prosecutor's office confirmed. Staff called police after the waiter was shot in the shoulder with a handgun, the AFP news agency reports. The gunman fled the restaurant and the waiter died at the scene.

The treatments, known as REGN-EB3 and an antibody called mAb114, were being tried out in patients with Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo, along with antiviral drugs ZMapp and Remdesivir. The current Ebola outbreak is now considered the second largest in history, killing at least 1,800 people. The drugs REGN-EB3 and mAb114 showed "clearly better" results compared to the others, according to the Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB). But the study results show real promise, he said, and can "save the lives of people who are unfortunate enough to be infected."

Police said they are studying security camera footage provided by the mint, which shows the suspects in action. "By imposing a ban on abortion prior to viability, the 8-Week Ban violates Plaintiffs' patients' rights to privacy and liberty guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution," the groups wrote. The challenge joins several others by abortion rights supporters in response to laws passed this year restricting abortion in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana and Ohio. Parson signed the Missouri measure into law in May, and it is slated to go into effect on August 28. The law would ban abortion outright should the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark ruling legalizing abortion nationwide and establishing the age of viability at 24 weeks.
