Team USA swimmers Allison Schmitt, Annie Lazor, Catie DeLoof found support in number of ways ad Olympics approached
For a number of athletes, like swimmers Catie Deloof, Annie Lazor and Allison Schmitt, Friday’s Opening Ceremony marks the beginning of their journeys to gold. A year ago we weren’t sure if the Olympics were even going to happen. Unlike past Olympics, Schmitt and her teammates won’t have their family members in the stands to cheer them on. One tip that they’ve heard is from Schmitt, who was elected as one of the captains for the swim team. Lilly King and Annie Lazor have a unique friendship that goes outside the pool
The relationship between two-time Olympic gold medalist Lilly King and Olympic hopeful Annie Lazor is one fans might not expect. Lazor said swimming with King has been a “huge confidence booster” for her and although the two are extremely competitive, she explains that they have a great relationship in and out of the pool.
