The Detroit Pistons deal with the Denver Nuggets for big man Bol Bol will not come to fruition. The Pistons voided trade after the team medical officials found an issue during Bol’s physical, per Mike Singer of the Denver Post. The 22-year-old was drafted 44th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft out of the University of Oregon and has played 14 games with the Nuggets this season. He has averaged 5.8 minutes per game where he has put up 2.4 points, 1.4 rebounds. In 53 career games, he has averaged 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 6.2 minutes.mlive.com
Pistons acquire Bol Bol, deal Rodney McGruder, second-round pick to Nuggets
The Pistons acquired Bol Bol from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for guard Rodney McGruder and a 2022 second-round pick, a league source confirmed to MLive. Bol, a 7-2 forward, has been buried in the depth chart of the Nuggets and now has a chance at a bigger role with the restoring Pistons. In Bol, the Pistons receive some additional depth in the frontcourt that has struggled against some of the length in the NBA. He averaged 12 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in about 19 minutes per game on 57.7 percent shooting in the field.
