A St. Clair County man has died after he submerged his car into the north channel of the St. Clair River.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, MI -- A 34-year-old man was killed Saturday morning after driving his car into the St. Clair River near the eastern Michigan/Canada border, police saidAt about 4:45 a.m. Dec. 3, officers from the Clay Township Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle driving into the St. Clair River’s North Channel.

Three people who were on motorcycles were seriously injured over the weekend when two motorcycles and a pickup truck were involved in a crash in Clay Township, police said.

A St. Clair County man assaulted, interrogated and kidnapped his ex-girlfriend before she and a friend were able to escape and run across the street, officials said.
