Caught on Camera: Dog rescued after falling into open manhole in Dearborn Heights
DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. โ A dog is resting after being rescued from an open manhole. โThe owner -- when we arrived on scene -- he was frantic, not being able to get to your dog, the owner broke down,โ said Dearborn Heights Fire Marshal, Maxwell Mitts. The Dearborn Heights Fire Department knew it was a race against the clock to get the pup out, once they made it out to the scene. Not only was the owner happy --โThe owner was ecstatic that we were able to rescue his dog,โ said Mitts. Just a giant sigh of relief,โ Marshal Mitts concluded.
Homeowner, dog killed in Dearborn Heights house fire
DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. โ A 57-year-old man and his dog were killed in a house fire on Friday in Dearborn Heights. They pulled him out and realized that he was deceased,โ said Dearborn Heights Fire Chief Dave Brogan. Sadly, Wolfeโs doberman named Kaiser was also found inside the house. His whole house was dedicated to toys for the dog. You can see in talking to the neighbors he was really close with that dog.
