Their signature slaw dog is an all-beef hot dog covered with seasoned ground beef, smothered in a cheese sauce, topped with creamy coleslaw and spices. The slaw dog is far from the only hot dog on the menu.

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. Sterling Heights will be the home of Michigans first Portillos, a Chicago-style fast casual restaurant. The site for the upcoming Portillos restaurant is located on Hall Road, a busy restaurant corridor in Macomb County. We have had Portillos fans asking us to come to Michigan for years, said Michael Osanloo, CEO of Portillos. Once complete, the restaurant will be the first Portillos location to feature a garage-like environment. I used to have family in the Chicagoland area, and Portillos was always one of my favorite spots to visit, said Sterling Heights Mayor Michael Taylor.
