Lansing police arrest suspect in fatal Kalamazoo shooting
KALAMAZOO, MI — Lansing Police have arrested a suspect believed to have been responsible for the killing of a 21-year-old Kalamazoo resident near Western Michigan University. Bryce Salter, 21, of Kalamazoo, was shot in the early morning hours on Friday, Nov. 11, on West Michigan Avenue, near the intersection of Howard and West Michigan, Kalamazoo Police said previously. The Lansing Police Department assisted with the investigation, which led to the arrest of the suspect several hours later in Lansing, Kalamazoo police said. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety credited the Lansing Police Department for its assistance and its timely and professional response which led to the safe capture of the suspect. LANSING, MI -- A shooting involving a vehicle left one Lansing teen dead Friday morning, and injured three other passengers, including a 10-week-old infant, police said. At about 4:21 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, officers from the Lansing Police Department responded to a shooting reported in the area of South Cedar Street and Miller Road in Lansing. On scene, officers located a vehicle with three people inside with apparent gunshot wounds, police said. Officers also found a 10-week-old male infant with an injury. Two more victims -- an 18-year-old woman and 16-year-old male teen -- and the infant were taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.

LANSING, MI -- A 17-year-old Lansing teen has died following a shooting Monday afternoon in a parking lot on Hunters Ridge Dr. According to WILX-10, the Lansing Police Department received a call around 2:37 p.m. for reports of gunshots in the 3900 block of Hunter’s Ridge. The teen died at the hospital as a result of his wounds. The teen was transported to the hospital by an acquaintance following the shooting, but no suspect has been identified or arrested. Ingham County Sheriff, police to enforce ban on large gatherings amid coronavirus concerns
