MADISON HEIGHTS, MI – A driver found unconscious after crashing in Metro Detroit was revived with three doses of Narcan. Troopers from the Michigan State Police Metro North Post responded to the one-car crash on I-75 in Madison Heights on Jan. 1. Upon arrival, they saw that the driver was not breathing. Troopers began lifesaving measures by reopening the driver’s airway and administering three doses of Narcan, a medication commonly used to counter decreased breathing in opioid overdose. The driver regained consciousness before being turned over to EMS.

HAZEL PARK, MI – A 14-year-old was hit with a gun charge after he asked a police officer for a ride in Metro Detroit. According to troopers from the Michigan State Police Metro North Post, the incident occurred at 8 Mile Road and Russell Avenue in Hazel Park at 9:25 p.m. on Dec. 4. Police say a trooper was approached by the teenager, who asked him for help in determining the Detroit Department of Transportation bus schedule. When the next bus’s arrival could not be determined, the teenager was offered a ride, which he accepted, police said. The Detroit teen was taken into custody for carrying a concealed weapon.

The female was found with head trauma, police said. Troopers are attempting to determine if the location is the crime scene or if her death happened somewhere else. A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a passenger car lost control and struck a pickup truck. The male driver of the passenger car exited his vehicle and went to contact the other driver when he was hit by another passing car, according to police. The crash investigation is ongoing on scene.

ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting in the 21000 block of Ithaca Avenue early Thursday morning. Officials say at around 1:30 a.m. a man and woman were driving a mini van through the parking lot of the Oakdale Apartments when they heard multiple gunshots hit their vehicle. Police say the driver of the mini van fled the scene and called the police following the incident. Officials say evidence was recovered from the scene of the shooting. This is an ongoing investigation led by the Metro North Post of the Michigan State Police.

DETROIT Michigan State Police (MSP) have issued an endangered missing advisory for a missing Detroit woman. Anita Randall, 64, was last seen at her home near 8 Mile Road and Wyoming Avenue. Randall is described as a white woman who is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and has short gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a light red hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes with white bottoms. DETROIT – Michigan State Police are looking for witnesses who may have information on a shooting that occurred on the Lodge Freeway last week. Here’s the info from Michigan State Police:The Michigan State Police, Metro North Post is investigating a shooting which occurred on 11/28 at approximately 6:35 p.m. on N/B M-10 near M-39 Freeway. The white sedan continued northbound on M-10 while the Dodge Durango exited at M-39. It is unknown whether the sedan and Durango were traveling together or if a prior incident between the two suspect vehicles had occurred.
