To help raise money for children battling diseases in Michigan, local police officers are coming together in an unconventional way. The Sterling Heights Police Department is participating in โno shave November" to help raise funds for Maggieโs Wigs 4 Kids. โWhat it does is it creates interest,โ said Lt. Mario Bastianelli with the Sterling Heights Police Department. The founder says Maggieโs Wigs 4 Kids has helped 4800 children and families so far. Milford police seek driver in hit and run of 60-year-old bicyclist
MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ Police are seeking a driver accused of striking and injuring a 60-year-old bicyclist and then fleeing the scene on Friday afternoon in Milford Township. According to authorities, at about 7:40 p.m. a 60-year-old man riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle in the area of East Buno and Childโs Lake roads. The man sustained significant, but not life-threatening, injuries and was taken to the hospital, officials said. The driver reportedly fled the scene following the collision. Person air lifted to hospital after 'traumaticโ wood chipper injury in Milford
MILFORD, Mich. โ An individual was air lifted to a hospital Thursday afternoon following a traumatic medical emergency involving a tree chipper machine in Milford, according to officials. The Milford Fire Department says at about 12:12 p.m. the individual was injured by a wood chipper machine in the area of Milford and Rowe roads. Authorities say the injured individual was immediately assisted by co-workers who then called 9-1-1. Medics arrived and tended to the individual, who was then air lifted to William Beaumont Hospital due to the nature of their injuries, officials said. The condition of the injured individual has not been shared.
