The always outspoken and entertaining Stephen A. Smith will be in Detroit this week for a special gala, and he’s bringing ESPN’s “First Take” along with him.

An injured horse was euthanized following an incident involving a horse-drawn omnibus at Greenfield Village in Dearborn.

The Arab American National Museum in Dearborn is set to reopen to the public on Feb. 2, the first time visitors will be allowed inside since the museum closed during the pandemic in 2020.

The Henry Ford in Dearborn has just opened a new exhibit on the Marvel Universe and comic book history. He said on the way here today, its gonna be the best day of his life, father Avery Kobatch said. The exhibit offers 80 years of Marvel history, including things like original artwork, movie set designs and academy award winning costumes. Everyone who visits the exhibit is expected to wear a mask and there are sanitizing stations available. The Henry Ford recommends buying tickets online before visiting because of the capacity restrictions.

Americans make about 850 million museum visits every year, more than all major league sports and theme parks combined. The United States has about 17,500 museums, large and small, famous and obscure.
