Last summer, a judge put a halt to granting recreational marijuana licenses in the city of Detroit. Instead of waiting to go to trial, there’s a new ordinance on the table.

The City of Southfield has amended an ordinance to prohibit feeding deer.

A defendant was asked why he hasn’t been keeping his walkway clear but his situation didn’t garner any sympathy from the judge.

All public restrooms in Ann Arbor, including in bars and restaurants, must offer toilet paper, soap, paper towels, tampons and menstrual pads starting Jan. 1.

“I believe banning no-knock warrants is the most significant way ... to continue building the trust necessary for effective policing,” writes Vice-Mayor Steve Kay.

A district court judge ruled Thursday to halt the granting of recreational marijuana licenses in the city of Detroit over an ordinance that allegedly favors certain Detroit residents over other applicants.

Police were back out in full force in Greektown Saturday night, making sure that people are having fun, but also being safe.

Interim Detroit police chief James White warned dangerous drivers that police officers will pursue them and seize their vehicles too.
