Flint vehicle dealership’s license suspended during investigation, officials say
FLINT, MI -- A license suspension was issued against a Flint car dealership this week after it failed to provide records during an investigation. Republic Auto Sales, located in Flint and owned by Michael Ignace, was issued a suspension by the Michigan Department of State (MDOS) on Oct. 27, according to an MDOS press release. The suspension came after the licensee failed to produce records on two occasions. Following two complaint inspections by an MDOS regulation agent, a department compliance analyst attempted to schedule a preliminary conference with Ignace on Oct. 11, notice of which was received and responded to by Ignace, MDOS states. After failing to produce records on that date, the teleconference was rescheduled for Oct. 20, on which date the licensee again failed to produce records, according to the press release.
