More than 80 dogs with medical issues were seized Tuesday from a suspected dog-breeder in St. Clair Township. Authorities said a tip alerted them to the 83 dogs found in wire cages stacked on top of each other. In addition to the dogs, St. Clair County Animal Control also seized four cats and two birds from the property. The St. Clair County Animal Control are working with the Humane Society to spay, and neuter the dogs and treat their injuries. These dogs have lived in wire bottom cages their entire life, said St. Clair County Animal Control director Erika Stroman.
