An Metro Detroit mother has recovered after being hospitalized with COVID while more than 20 weeks pregnant.

Troy family reunited with father after 3-month battle with COVID-19

TROY, Mich. – A Troy family is grateful to be back together, especially since there were times doctors warmed them their dad wouldn’t make it. It just was, from what I heard, I was going septic and it was like -- I was just, like, delirious,” George Shamoun said. Most of the family tested positive for COVID-19, including George Shamoun’s aunt -- who died of the coronavirus. She had to leave George Shamoun behind and go home to take care of their children -- who also had COVID-19. Now that the family is back together, George Shamoun is enjoying his first weekend home surrounded by his family.

Detroit mother wakes up from coma after giving birth to twins while battling COVID-19

DETROIT – A Detroit family of five was excited to be growing, with another set of twins on the way -- but the twins were born prematurely after their mom got COVID-19. Doctors at the Detroit Medical Center said Logan’s case was a perfect storm of catastrophic health issues all stemming from COVID-19. Logan was on the brink of death and in a coma for nearly two weeks while she fought COVID-19. “It was terrifying,” her husband, Steven Logan said. “It was a mental storm going on in my head of me trying to figure out what exactly to do,” Steven Logan said.

Michigan veteran leaves hospital after 10 week battle with COVID-19

On March 31, Warren Franklin decided he couldnt fight coronavirus (COVID-19) at home anymore and had to go to a hospital. After all that time, Franklin was able to leave the hospital on Friday and go home. Doctors and nurses said they loved seeing another COVID-19 warrior leave the hospital. For a week he had a cough. Then his daughter encouraged him to go to a hospital, where he had to be ventilated immediately.

After 94 days in the hospital, COVID-19 survivor returns home

TROY, Mich. – A coronavirus (COVID-19) survivor who spent 94 days in a hospital fighting for her life is finally headed home. Johtasha Mosely was one of the original eight patients with COVID-19 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy.
