The Utah Jazz requested permission to interview Detroit Pistons assistant coach Jerome Allen, according to a report from ESPN. Allen joined the Pistons’ coaching staff last June as the team shifted its focus toward developing its young stars. Prior to his arrival in Detroit, Allen was an assistant with the Boston Celtics as an assistant for then head coach, Brad Stevens. Per Adrian Wojnarowski, the Jazz is set to begin its first round of interviews to fill the vacant head coaching position. Allen is among 14 candidates that are reportedly in the mix for the coaching position.
