SPRING LAKE, MI – With decorations of white icing, swirly, twirly lollipops and a candy cane lane, a Spring Lake family turned their home into a full-scale gingerbread house to honor their late son. Kerri Henderson, a self-described “Christmas nerd,” didn’t celebrate the holiday for three years after her son Conner Byrne-Henderson died from bone cancer on Valentine’s Day 2018 — two months shy of his 18th birthday.
