After a little bit of sunshine, and some of us also seeing a few snow showers thanks to the northwesterly flow bringing in the arctic air through the end of the weekend as well, we will keep the cold weather in the forecast looking ahead into the first part of next week.

Overnight, we will keep the cloud cover around; anyone who sees any breaks will have those clouds fill in. Mostly cloudy skies can be expected. Overnight lows dropping into the lower teens, with wind chills on either side of 0° as we’re heading out the door on Monday morning.

Then, an upper-level disturbance will move into the region on Monday morning. This will bring a chance of light snow and/or snow showers to most of the region. This will be a fast-moving system, and will leave a coating to 0.5″ of snow around before it is all said and done. But, this will be at the right time, so that it may make the morning commute a little slick where the snow does fall. Any snow should be done by lunchtime on Monday.

Cloud cover will stick around for the rest of the day. High temperatures will only make it into the upper teens by Monday afternoon. Wind chills will remain in the single digits to teens as well for most of the day, so the heavy winter gear will be needed once again.

Mostly cloudy skies can be expected as we work into Tuesday, but then we start to warm things up a bit as well. A southwesterly flow will work into the region starting on Monday, but you won’t really feel the impacts until Monday night and into Tuesday, as we’re expecting high temperatures to make it into the 30s by Tuesday.

That warming trend continues, looking ahead into the middle of next week on Wednesday. But we will bring in the chance of rain showers by Wednesday afternoon and evening. High temperatures continue to warm up, heading into the mid to upper 30s by Wednesday afternoon.

The rain showers will stick around the forecast looking ahead into Thursday. The warming trend in the forecast will continue into the middle of the week as well. High temperatures will soar into the lower 40s by Thursday afternoon. After the cold front moves through the region, this will change the rain over to rain and snow showers as we work into late Thursday night.

Behind that front boundary, we will keep the chance of snow showers in the forecast by the end of the week on Friday, thanks to a northwesterly flow kicking back in. High temperatures dropping into the upper 20s to right around 30° by the end of the week on Friday, but once you factor in the winds, we are expecting wind chills to be much colder than the air temperature by the end of the week.

Expect mostly cloudy skies to stick around looking heading into the start of next weekend on Saturday. Temperatures will start to warm up once again by the start of the weekend. Expect high temperatures to warm into the upper 30s to near 40° by the time we get to Saturday afternoon.

Our next chance of rain after Thursday arrives looking ahead into the end of next weekend. Expect a chance of rain showers in the forecast, with temperatures getting warmer once again. High temperatures are making it into the lower 40s by Sunday afternoon.
