After just an isolated shower or thunderstorm to start the weekend, and temperatures heading to the lower 90s on Saturday, we will keep some sunshine into the forecast, but also track the chances of showers and thunderstorms moving into the region by the second half of the day,
Some of those storms could be strong to possibly severe. The Storm Prediction Center has placed part of the region under a Slight Risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather on Sunday, then part of the region is also under a Slight Risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather to start next week on Monday. Damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall will be the primary threats with any thunderstorm through the end of the weekend and start of next week, but even with this, I do not think this will be a widespread severe weather risk across the region.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected as we work into the evening and overnight hours on Sunday into Monday morning. I think we clear things out by the rush to work on Monday morning. Expect some cloud cover to stick around, but then we break into some sunshine as we work throughout the day as well. High temperatures remaining in the mid-80s looking ahead into the start of the week.
Expect chances for showers and thunderstorms to continue looking ahead into next Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures remain remaining on the reasonable side of things, into the low 80s both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Dry weather works into the region, looking ahead into the end of next week. Expect plenty of sunshine for next Thursday, and into the end of the week on Friday. Cooler temperatures will also move into the forecast as well. High temperatures warming into the low 80s by the end of next week. That dry weather continues into the start of next weekend on Saturday. High temperatures going a little below average. Expect highs into the upper 70s by next Saturday afternoon.
