8-year-old girl shot at Southfield apartment Girl in critical condition after shooting Sunday evening

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – An 8-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot Sunday evening at an apartment complex on 12 Mile Road in Southfield.
UPDATE: Source: 8-year-old girl shot at Southfield apartment has died
The shooting happened about 7 p.m. Sunday at the 12 North Apartments on 12 Mile Road between Northwestern Highway and Telegraph Road . The girl was shot in her head and has undergone surgery. She remained in critical condition as of Monday morning.
Police said a 20-year-old sibling of the girl has been taken into custody. A case is expected to be presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday.
