Woman sentenced in violent attack of landscaper working at Southfield home

Actions reportedly linked to unmedicated condition

A woman who ran down a landscaper in Southfield because she didn’t like the quote is going to prison.

Original story: Landscaper hit by car, pinned against house by angry driver while working in Southfield, witnesses say

Tiffany Hart agreed to a plea deal, which means she’s going to prison for up to 10 years.

When Hart attacked the landscaper in 2022, police seemed flummoxed when they arrived on scene. A man providing a quote for a lawn service was run down by the woman.

Hart used her car to run down and seriously injure a member of a lawn service crew. Witnesses said she asked for a quote and didn’t like the price she was quoted and then attacked the person with her car.

She was arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder. She said her actions were the result of not being on her medication for an unspecified mental illness and she had been drinking to try and cope.

The judge sentenced her to a minimum of two years in prison, with a max of 10.
