FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Police in Farmington Hills said a man shot and killed his brother during an argument over a dog on Saturday.

The shooting happened at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at a home in the 33000 block of Saratoga Circle.

The mother of the suspect and victim called 911 to report that her sons were in an argument that ended with her 30-year-old son shooting her 28-year-old son. The 28-year-old man was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The 30-year-old man left the home before police got there. Officers, K9 teams, and multiple drones were used to search the area to no success. He was later arrested in Warren after a brief chase.
