Jamie Edmonds, a longtime weekend sports anchor at Local 4 and morning anchor at WJR 760, is currently undergoing treatment for triple negative breast cancer — a particularly aggressive form of the disease diagnosed just six months after a mammogram.

Supported by her husband, daughter, and an outpouring of community encouragement, Jamie has remained open about her journey, even starting a podcast to help others.

She recently spoke with Local 4 Anchor Jason Colthorp about how she continues to maintain work and family life, the challenges of chemotherapy, the importance of mammogram screenings and much more.

‘No mercy after today’: Man accused of cyberstalking, threatening Michigan disc golf company

A man from Washington is facing federal charges for allegedly cyberstalking and threatening a disc golf company based in Southeast Michigan.

Domenic Griffin is facing federal charges of cyberstalking and interstate threats with intent to extort. The disc golf company sponsored Griffin from 2021 until he voluntarily resigned via email on Dec. 8, 2024.

In February 2025, Griffin allegedly posted multiple messages to his social media account directed to the disc golf company, demanding tens of thousands of dollars and making threats towards the employees.

Humane Society of Macomb holding annual 5K for K9s — what to know

The Humane Society of Macomb is hosting its 2nd annual 5K for K9s this weekend.

The event on Sunday, June 14, will be held at Lake St. Clair Metropark. Participants can run or walk the course. Dogs are welcome but not required.

The 5K is a timed event with runners lining up at the front and walkers starting from the back. All finishers, including dogs that complete the course, will receive a participation medal.

Chesterfield police seek public’s assistance in locating injured driver after crash

Police is Chesterfield Township are asking for help in locating a 32-year-old man who reportedly walked away from the scene of a crash that left his vehicle engulfed in flames on Monday night.

Upon receiving a 911 call from a motorist on I-94 about a vehicle on fire in a field near 25 Mile Road and New Haven Road, police arrived around 11:05 p.m. to find a crashed SUV fully engulfed and a trail of blood leading northeast from the vehicle.

The Chesterfield Township Fire Department extinguished the fire and assisted police and the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit in conducting an extensive search of the surrounding area, but were unable to locate the injured driver.

Weather: Heavy rain today, dangerous heat and severe storm threat builds midweek

Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected across Southeast Michigan today and through this evening, bringing the potential for heavy rainfall and localized flooding.

Periods of torrential rain could lead to isolated flash flooding, especially in urban areas, low-lying locations and other flood-prone spots. Drivers this evening should remain alert for water-covered roads and low visibility in downpours.
