A Heat Advisory is in effect for parts of Metro Detroit on Wednesday due to the extreme heat in the forecast.
The areas impacted are along and south of I-696 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10.

High temperatures will warm into the lower 90s, but once you factor in the humidity, heat index values will warm into the upper 90s to around 100° by late Wednesday afternoon and early Wednesday evening.

Damaging winds, hail and heavy rainfall will be the primary threats, as the majority of the region remains under a Marginal Risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather on Wednesday.
