Birmingham hotel worker sentenced to 1.5-10 years for allegedly sending sexual messages to minor

The 24-year-old faced two counts for accosting a minor for immoral purposes and using computers to commit a crime

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A Westland man was sentenced on Thursday to serve a minimum of 19 months in prison and a maximum sentence of 10 years after pleading no contest to two charges for sending sexual messages to a minor.

Christian Jon Leo, 23, was arrested on Dec. 11, 2025, after receiving a report in November that he was allegedly sending the sexually explicit messages while working at the Holiday Inn Express off Woodward Avenue in Birmingham.

He was charged with accosting a minor for immoral purposes and using computers to commit a crime. Oakland County Judge Martha D. Anderson sentenced Leo on Thursday to 19 months-6 years in prison for accosting a minor and 19 months-10 years for count two, with a 189-day credit for time served.
