Man arrested, juvenile detained after shooting near Southfield Road, I-75

LINCOLN PARK, Mich. – A man was arrested, and a juvenile was detained after a shooting near Southfield Road and I-75 Friday afternoon.

Lincoln Park police said officers received multiple reports of gunfire being exchanged between two moving cars in the area of Southfield Road and I-75 on July 3 at around 4 p.m. No injuries were reported.

After further investigation, police said a man was arrested pending formal charges, and a juvenile was detained in connection with the shooting.

Police believe everyone involved knew each other, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
